Rob Suglia, Ph.D. graduated summa cum laude with a doctorate in higher education administration from the University at Buffalo - New York state's largest public research institution. Dr. Suglia shares his expertise on eating disorders by lecturing nationally on the topics of males, athletes, and the EDNOS category. Dr. Suglia was the first researcher to conduct a study that controlled for EDNOS with an exclusive male athlete sample outside of a hospital setting. Dr. Suglia was also the first to scientifically test for the Eating Disorder Bodybuilding Type (EDBT) classification - a new category put forth by Harvard researchers that is defined by six specific criteria linking obligatory exercise and social constraints to an underlying eating disorder. This new classification is similar in nature to such terms as anorexia athletica, muscle dysmorphia, or the "Adonis Complex."
