Barbara Hedge, Consultant Clinical Psychologist at St Bartholomew's Hospital and honorary senior lecturer in psychology at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, is responsible for the clinical psychology services for people with HIV disease at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospitals. For the last ten years she has studied the psychosocial factors affecting the quality of life of individuals infected with HIV and their partners and has been involved in the running of workshops and counselling courses in Africa and Eastern Europe.
