Jesus was very upfront about it, showing that following him fully would be more than his followers could expect fulfill. In this book it is shown that trying to apply that as how to be saved is a great mistake. Lesser levels, or kinds of discipleship are important, with lessons to appreciate in considering each one. Christians today need to understand the kind of discipleship that can be, and should be, true of us in our daily lives.
