The story picks up the day after "In Between Time" (ISBN 978-1-4961-8626-3) ends. While attempting to reintegrate themselves into a subtly though significantly different timeline the Ranch team writes their report and performs a calibration that covers 2000 years. Joe and Janice have their second and third dates. A mission request from an allied nation is seized upon as an opportunity to break through the bureaucratic gridlock that has been limiting the capabilities of the Ranch for years. As they all stand on the threshold of attempting truly momentous deeds, tragedy strikes and Janice's two close friends are taken from her by a mysterious accident. Reeling from her loss and with the inquisition pointing the finger at her, Janice begins to question her sanity and whether what she has been experiencing is even real. As Joe prepares to travel further back in time than anyone has ever attempted before, he is assigned a super woman femme fatal from his own timeline as a trainer. When it appears that she has her own designs on Joe and a scheme to get Janice permanently out of the way, Janice has a crisis of faith as she agonizes why God would allow this to happen. But the twists and turns have only barely begun as they careen from one emergency to another, and repeatedly learn along the way that all is not as it seems. For unforeseen by any of them, the unintended consequences of their decisions and actions have placed the Ranch on a collision course with an insidiously evil force.

William Edward Hall worked as a Software and Systems Engineer at Hughes Aircraft / Raytheon for 33 years; retiring as a Fellow in November 2013. He has been an elder for over ten years at a prominent evangelical church in Southern California. He resides in the South Bay near Los Angeles. Motivated by a series of vivid dreams, and having never written anything creative before, he began writing a series of books about time travel in June 2013. As he tells people: "He worked with science fiction for 30 plus years. Now he writes about it." He brings nearly forty years of engineering experience and Bible knowledge together. His first book, "In Between Time" was published in April 2014 via Amazon CreateSpace. The sequel "In Between Space" is being published in April 2015, again via Amazon CreateSpace. The third book in the series is already underway. The dreams provide the events and turning points of the plot. Then he connects the dots, provides the engineering, performs the research, develops the characters, and locates the Bible passage references and applicable songs. But most intriguingly, he continues to watch an amazing string of "coincidences" as they continue to unfold. The series takes place beginning in the year 2050. At the heart of it is a Love Story, which is wrapped in a Bible Study, and embedded within a science fiction tale. The stories attempt to make the Bible come alive in ways that are unique and gripping, as the characters get injected into Biblical narratives, as they deal with consequences requiring them to think and act "outside of the box" and as they learn to beware of unintended consequences.
