This idea that God could simply come here 2 thousand years ago and all reality would be established does not go along with historical record or reason as God Incarnate showed up many times throughout history. Without the incarnation of God, our very existence would have been lost. Remember when the we read in the book of John that in the beginning was the word and the word was God and nothing was made without him? That in no way means God's incarnated part "the word" became incarnate for one instance, made everything and then disappeared for thousands of years to be born as a baby in Bethlehem.
