Indian Acrostics is a book of acrostic puzzles for either private enjoyment or for educational purposes. Students working cooperatively use their own tablets or smart phones in search of a puzzle's end solution. Indian Acrostics is meant to promote organized learning activity as an adjunct to India's cultural and English language curriculum.

In addition to being a set of very challenging puzzles for private individuals to solve, Indian Acrostics also been designed as a cooperative learning activity for Intermediate and Senior High School classrooms.

What follows is a sample lesson plan:

Students work in small groups using electronic devices as learning aids to solve each of the puzzles cooperatively.The teacher provides one copy of the same puzzle for each group who then provide correct answers for the starting questions followed by:

a) discussion of the solution excerpt;
b) written assignment to follow;
c) marks awarded for each group for order of the classroom finish of the correct solution
d) individual marks for the written assignment

Questions in each puzzle include the following topics:

India's geography, culture, personalities, landmarks and important individuals from India's modern history.
