Larry W. Voorhees, is a 6th Degree Black Belt, Master Instructor and International Referee in Taekwondo. His friend and student, Randy Cormeny, started to write a novel, and sent it to Larry to see what his reaction would be. Larry took it upon himself to modify the manuscript that his friend had sent him, and then send it back. Thus began the unique manner in which these two hunting buddies and Taekwondo instructors came about creating their book. One would write, the other would re-write, and through the back-and-forth process between the two, the stories and characters would emerge. Larry describes himself as "a musician who works for an insurance company during the day so I can support my evening martial arts habit." Randall D. Cormeny has worn many hats in his life. From rodeo bull-rider to retail store manager to martial arts instructor to pastor, every experience has been a part of the life-journey that has created the man today. A 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, "Pastor Master" Cormeny decided to take a stab at putting his thoughts and imagination into a novel, while in a period of searching in his life. He began to write, and sent his drafts to his friend and Taekwondo mentor, Larry Voorhees, to see what kind of reaction he would get. Both men live in Iowa, and readily admit that a fair number of their friends and acquaintances in the martial arts served as bases for some of the characters in their book; however, they are quick to point out that any parallels between the characters in the book and people they know is "purely coincidental......mostly".
