Initia Latina: A Latin Book For Beginners (1907) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781165373970)

Initia Latina: A Latin Book for Beginners is a textbook designed to teach Latin to students who have no prior knowledge of the language. The book was originally published in 1907 by Edward Deering Mansfield, who was a professor of Latin at Yale University. The book is divided into 30 lessons, each of which introduces new vocabulary, grammar rules, and exercises to reinforce the concepts learned. The lessons are designed to be self-contained, so students can work through them at their own pace. The book covers the basics of Latin grammar, including noun declensions, verb conjugations, and sentence structure. It also includes readings from Latin literature and historical texts, which help students to develop their reading comprehension skills. Overall, Initia Latina is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to learn Latin from scratch. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
