Ink and Salt (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798874261061)

Ink and Salt was created so I could have one book with all the poems I have read or would read at readings. So I'm not reading different books from the poetry series. I used to cut out the pages of the ones I wanted to read but then I lose the papers which defeats the purpose of having a book to read from.

So, just to be clear-- The same poems here in Ink and Salt also live in my Poetry Series I II III IV (and a few from V which isn't completed yet) which is all my collected works to date. Which will expand to my death.

Ink and Salt is just my personal selection.

Life was never easy and poetry made a hard life a little bit softer.

I thank God for making me a poet. I truly truly enjoy it. Poetry was there in my brother's death. For Mike's. When I was diving for bodies in the Florida canals, combing Arkansas and Texas woods, or serving as a combat medic in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whether it was an ally way, a dive bar or swanky joint, forest glen, Hollywood parties, trailer park throwdowns in bible study and in church, poetry has always been there for me. In the ups and downs and all arounds.
