Melva Archer-Persico is a Guyanese-born academic who currently resides in the United States. Her love of books and reading began in childhood. It is this love that led her to a career, teaching Spanish language and Hispanic literature. She has published a textbook for students preparing for the literary analysis section of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and articles on Afro-Hispanic and Latin American literature in peer-reviewed academic publications. Ink on Paper - is her debut literary work. She plans to publish her collection of short stories, Ma Mae's Legacy soon. She is the mother of two daughters and resides with her husband in Seneca, South Carolina, U.S.A.
