The book then explores the dangers of allowing leadership from the mind, (typically grounded in Fear), and calls instead for the soul to usurp that role ... and within this framework, we effectively find ourselves letting go, and letting 'God', (through the voice of the soul), take captaincy of our lives, leaving us to serve as his divine instruments of implementation. The journey flows into a philosophical contemplation of the highest potential use of our material bodies before we shed them ... that is, in the direction of Service/Giving to as many other humans as we can possibly reach. It also explores the role of Joy, Grace & Gratitude as catalysts in our service-centric lives, then heads into the realm of 'outward alignment' with others, that is, into the realm of influence and of authentic leadership, (postulating that such levels of influence and authenticity are most powerfully and sustainably attained only after we have first re-claimed our inner alignment). The book draws to an end with a call to action, and ends with a 'religion-neutral' daily prayer for inner alignment and for service.
