Keith E. Fry, better known as Keith Erick, is a short story writer and novelist that has had a passion for the written word for over 30 years. The love started with writing a book of short stories called "Battle Dragons" at the age of 8 that was nearly published. From then it morphed into writing hip hop rhymes and R&B songs. After stints with a few local rap and R&B harmony groups, he began to focus more on work and education. After a very long hiatus, through a stroke of luck, he was brought back to writing by Author Mellenee Miller who added him to BPC (The Black Poetry Cafe ) poetry group. Through the groups "challenges" his creativity was ignited. What began as a simple challenge to see if he could write one poem, turned into over 400 written poems in the next 2 years. Fueled by the life lasting advice that Mellenee gave him, his inner writer was allowed to emerge. The advice was... "Just write for you, your way, your style. The people who appreciate your style will find you." That advice not only propelled him to his writing style but also to his stage name, "The Renaissance Poet". Representing his ability to bring diversity with his singing voice and signature wordplay to different genres of poetry. He is currently the Host of the Blog Talk Radio poetry show "Poetic Stimulation" on Epiphany Radio, two Wednesdays a month. Keith is looking to complete his Horror novel titled "Daddy Knows Best" as well as two other poetry books in the "Intellectual Series". The next one titled "Intellectual Romanticism" will be published later this year. When not writing, he is working as an independent NDT Contractor based out of Texas.
