He was also a faculty member of the General Studies Department at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. He was appointed as a Visiting Professor at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.

Professor Ogbulafor has written books including "Moral Philosophy: Implications for Global Ethics and Human Rights" and "Understanding Nigeria's Philosophy of Education". He is also credited with chapter contributions to several books and has written scholarly papers of international standard.
