This book is a beginners' guide to understanding and utilizing subtle energies. My goal is to remain direct and to the point, giving the reader enough information to familiarize them with the subject, without overwhelming them with too many details. In the final sections of this book I provide an illustrated beginners guide to subtle energy work. It is my goal to teach you a simple technique which is a mean of accessing and controlling subtle energy or Qi, and using the power of your intent to control these energies both locally and non-locally. Now, allow me to explain the meaning of the subtitle of this book, "Your Pathways to Shen Ching". "Shen Ching" are Chinese words which refer to something known as "activity-within-inactivity." The spirit moves without the physical body having to move. This occurs when Shen: 'psychic-spiritual awareness' and Ching: 'potential, metabolic energy' unite; manifesting and maintaining our physical reality. It is at this point in time when one realizes that, "Mind is All." (Dunn, 2003). The meaning of Shen Ching I am referring to here is two-fold. The first meaning I am referring to is the phrase "activity within inactivity", which is considered the ultimate goal of any martial arts Master. Put simply it means that one has the ability to physically move other people or matter by using only the intent of their mind, not having to move their physical body. I have attained this ability and have shown others how to do the same. I am now offering you the opportunity to attain Shen Ching, activity within inactivity. The second meaning or deeper understanding of Shen Ching comes from practicing and experiencing it, this refers to the concept of knowing that "Mind is All". Once you have experienced "activity within inactivity" you will understand how all is mind. After reading this book you will also see that the quantum mechanics theory of Quantum Entanglement leads us to a similar conclusion. Everything is connected energetically on the quantum level.
