Alyssa McLean is a writer and poet, born and raised in Texas. Alyssa seeks to to put words to the mental and emotional processes in the battle against mental health, the beauty of falling in love, the pain of a broken heart and the light at the end of every tunnel. Growing up, Alyssa was obsessed with music and songwriting. As she began to write herself, she found that poetry was the simplest form to which she could communicate and make sense of the racing thoughts and seemingly unexplainable emotions she experiences every day.
