The money was to go back to the people of Cuba. As for Colonel Barrios and the Cuban government, that was their money. Money which was considered stolen from them years ago. It was also the very last account the Colonel had that was still legally unresolved after so many years. But, that was all about to change. The Colonel was going to see to that no matter what the cost. Ironically, the descendants are beginning to die off one by one, which now has Rick and the his last surviving uncle on the run.
