Passion for thoughts and intellectual inquiry was there in me from childhood. I could not accept any established belief or theory till I understood its bottom principles. Hence I started freelance studies and personal inquiries into philosophy of science, theories of knowledge and fundamentals of political ideologies. I am a post graduate in Sociology. Indian Council of Philosophical Research was kind enough to encourage my pursuits in 1990 by awarding a residential Fellowship, though I did not belong to the academic community. Close to my heart subject always was man's faculty of reason. It intrigued me. Accepting democracy in its current form, with all the self-deceptions it is engaged in with its originally intended bottom principles, would indeed be a blot on the sense of reason of our age ! Modern man's celebrated scientific spirit seems to have terminated in the dogmas of science, and empty political ideologies. Mind and its constant progress is under check. Like happened at many junctures in history, world again started moving blindly on the already established course. Individual and his mind is slowly getting extinct under the threat of mass organizations and impersonal industry. Media have never been 'peoples voice' but a pursuer after 'news value' and stories. This unfortunate turn-out of media completes the sad story of the modern world. A new revival of mind and thought has become mankind's urgent need, to avoid our age being branded as another stretch of the 'dark-age' by future enlightened societies !
