Gail Penland Walker was born in Anchorage, Alaska and currently resides in Harvest, AL, and has deep roots in the Asheville and Canton, North Carolina areas where her parents and Grandparents were raised, and where she, her son, and his fiancée continue to enjoy visits, hiking, and local dining and sights. She had the joy and privilege of being married thirty-two years to her husband and co-Santa, Jerry, until he passed away in 2016, following a stroke. She earned a Master's Degree as a Learning Disabilities Specialist and treasured her twenty-eight years serving middle and high school students in Huntsville, Alabama's Huntsville City School System. She currently serves as a Ready to Work Instructor at J. F. Drake State Community and Technical College and is tremendously enjoying her role in helping students of all ages prepare for entry level or higher level positions in the workforce.
