Humberto Gez Sequeira-HuG was born in the Santa Luc僘 ghetto of the city of Granada, Nicaragua, Central America, on March 12, 1949, under the Catholic Somoza Dictatorship. He studied literature at the Colegio Salesiano San Juan Bosco of Granada. At that center, governed by the doctrinaire priests of the Colonialist Catholic Church, he obtained a High School Diploma in Arts and Science in 1968.
