It Just So Happened (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781923655621)

It Just So Happened is a gripping memoir of survival, resilience, and redemption. Allan Brown's story begins in the shadows of a fractured childhood, running away from home, sleeping in barns, hitchhiking across Scotland, and enduring the cold corridors of institutions where decisions about his future were made without his voice. Each escape was a desperate bid for freedom, shadowed by hunger, fear, and the crushing weight of systems that promised care but often failed to deliver.

From stolen bikes and solitary confinement to life in children's homes, Allan's teenage years blur the line between belonging and rebellion. Gambling, motorbike crashes, homelessness, and even a brief stint in the Royal Marines reveal a young man searching for identity in all the wrong places.

Then, in the Highlands of Scotland, everything changes. Amid despair and suicidal thoughts, Allan encounters hope, and a faith that transforms his life. What follows is a radical journey: prayer meetings, Bible studies, and a calling that leads him from Scotland to Florida and Honduras, where he serves in missions and discovers joy in helping others. Later chapters bring love, marriage, family, and a new life in Australia, proof that broken beginnings can lead to extraordinary purpose.

Honest, gritty, and deeply inspiring, It Just So Happened invites readers to look beyond statistics and stereotypes to the lived experience of a child who refused to give up, and a man who found significance beyond survival.
