The research seeks to fill the gap by undertaking a comprehensive research of the success of IT governance and governance of IS in the intergovernmental organisations using a case-study of UNICEF Kenya. This study will fuse a scrutiny of already distributed papers on this subject and conclude deductions on IT/IS administration structures and methodologies that have been demonstrated to work for the new-age organisation by utilising the post-positivism philosophy and descriptive research design. The literature review of the study will demonstrate how intergovernmental organisations implement different levels of IS integration to improve their operations in the global arena. The literature also will highlight to a smaller extent some of the impacts of IT governance on intergovernmental organisations. The researcher utilised UNICEF Kenya for the sample selection of the study.
