What happens when the principles on which a nation declares itself founded begin to diverge from the consequences of its actions?
IT'S AMERICA! is a historical and philosophical inquiry into the formation of the United States and the evolution of American power, from the religious foundations of colonial society to the political, economic, military, and strategic interventions of the contemporary era.
The book begins before the birth of the United States, examining the theological and colonial structures that shaped North American society. Christianity and its denominations-and, comparatively, Judaism, Islam, Orthodoxy, and the Chinese philosophical-religious tradition-are considered not merely as systems of belief, but as structures capable of influencing anthropology, social organization, political authority, economic relations, and the use of force.
From this foundation, the analysis moves to the constitutional order of the United States and to the principles embodied in the First Amendment.
The central question then emerges:
To what extent have the actions of American governments remained consistent with the principles the United States declares to defend?
Through a documentary reconstruction extending from the First World War to 2026, the book examines major episodes of American domestic and foreign policy: wartime restrictions on civil liberties, the internment of Japanese Americans, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, and the subsequent expansion of American political, economic, intelligence, and military influence.
The analysis then follows the transformation of international power after 1989, examining documented U.S. and, where relevant, NATO involvement in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, and Iran.
Rather than treating official declarations as sufficient explanations, IT'S AMERICA! systematically distinguishes between stated objectives, documented actions, historical outcomes, and critical interpretation.
The result is not a conventional history of the United States.
It is an inquiry into power and responsibility: into the distance that may arise between constitutional principles and governmental action, between the justification of intervention and its consequences, and between the defence of freedom and the exercise of international influence.
A study of America not through what it says it represents, but through the historical consequences of what it does.
