Jack Mormon Joe: An Iraq War story (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798308271611)

This is not a memoir, inspired by lived experiences this war story follows Jack Mormon Joe who was born and raised in picturesque Salt Lake City. Joe joins the Marine Corps infantry after 9/11 and does two combat deployments to the dust choked streets of Iraq but gets severely wounded with only a week remaining on his second deployment. The realistic scenes and scenarios in this war story are based on the author's lived experiences, but this is not a biography. This is a story about war and its tragic costs, and the chaos combat creates in the mind. War is foreign to the civilized mind its nature is not only offensive and obscene but massively misunderstood. Too define war, even one's own war experience, would take more time and intellect than most have. Jack Mormon Joe, the protagonist in this war story is a mortarman and has a mortar trifecta. This war story will painfully illustrate why war is too nuanced for a single definition but also how mortars are the best fire support for the infantry and will answer the question you might be asking yourself, what is a mortar trifecta?
