Edgar Calabia Samar is a poet and novelist whose books have won Asia's most prestigious literary awards including a three-time winner of the Philippine National Book Award as well as the Man Asian Literary Prize, the NCCA Writer's Prize and many others. He has published many novels and collections of poetry.

Mervin Malonzo is one of the best-known illustrators and graphic novel authors in the Philippines.
