In addition to a doctorate in Religion from the University of Southern California, Dr. Piar also holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degree from Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, California. He is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is involved in ministry to Latinos in the Los Angeles area.
