This Child Jesus who was God Himself was regarded as the Son of God (Immanuel - God is with us). The Immanuel name was to ensure that we understand that Jesus was God with us here on earth. He was complete God and complete human. Jesus told disciple Philip that "Anyone who has seen ME has seen the FATHER!" Disciple Thomas called the risen Christ, "My Lord and my God!" In his letter to Titus, Apostle Paul referred to Jesus as "Our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ", while Prophet Isaiah prophesied that Jesus will be called "Mighty God, and Everlasting Father". Therefore, Jesus Christ is God, and God is Jesus Christ.
