Doris Gilbert served as a missionary first with Evangelical Baptist Missions in the West Indies, then with Baptist Mid-Missions in Africa and Europe. Her pioneering ministry was with a team in Martinique. In Central African Republic she helped organize the Faithful Women's groups, used by God to help the African women learn of His love. She also had a successful ministry with university students in France, for which she gives God all the glory. Currently Doris lives in Florida where she serves at Evangel Baptist Church. Volunteering weekly at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and the retirement village where she resides helps keep her busy in her desire to serve and honor the Lord.
