J. C. Peterson lives in Port Townsend, Washington in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but lived most of her life in Seattle where she attended school, married and raised four daughters. She went to public school in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Seattle, Washington. Peterson received a B.A. degree in English Literature at the University of Washington and continued her education throughout her life attending courses at the University of Washington, Peninsula College, PNWA Writer Conferences, Centrum Writers' Summer Workshops, Olympic Field Seminar for Writers, and membership in a writer's group. Her active participation in Community Service and varied office jobs enabled Peterson to develop her expository writing. She gained insight into other's character and personality as owner/operator of three Seattle Restaurants that she operated for over a decade. Applying these skills to her craft has enabled her to write and be published in both adult and children's markets.
