Joshua Meets Heaven's Commander: Little Lamb Rhymes (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798276452463)

The wandering is over, the river has parted, and a whole nation is catching its breath in a brand new land. Tents rise at Gilgal, children taste grain from nearby fields for the very first time, and the old stories of Egypt and the wilderness are told again around evening fires. While families learn how to live without manna and watch the distant walls of Jericho, their new leader walks the camp, carrying questions he cannot answer on his own.

Into this mix of excitement and nervous waiting comes a night that changes everything. As the sun sinks and the fields grow quiet, Joshua steps away to look toward Jericho and sees a warrior already standing there, sword drawn and face calm. Is he friend, or is he enemy, or something else entirely. The conversation that follows shows Joshua that the plans ahead belong to someone far greater than any human commander.

Young readers are invited to stand beside Joshua as he hears a strange answer, falls to the ground in respect, and takes off his sandals on holy ground. The scenes of Passover in a new land, the last morning of manna, and the secret meeting outside the city walls are written to feel close and vivid for children and adults reading together. This story is full of quiet awe, brave questions, and the discovery that they are never facing the future alone.
