Genesis is overpopulated, and measures have been taken to restrict population growth. Our clan finds this too restrictive, and embark on a journey to another planet, Hope. This 10 year journey is difficult, dangers exist out there. Over the period of their lives, they endeavor to solve the problems of humanity, with 27th century technology. It is a very different book. I think you will like it.
