Down through recorded history there have been geniuses in every field of human endeavor, such as mathematics, biology, geology, literature and music, plus many others. These are individuals who seem to have been born with an inherent understanding of things that far surpassed their peers. Some were looked to as gods, some were ridiculed, many were persecuted, suspect because they had knowledge and insights others did not possess. Music savants such as Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, and Mozart were revered and sought out for their contributions to the culture of their day. W.A.
