Kapuna Hospital is a beacon of hope and the center of a community in Papua New Guinea. Uncover the story of resilience and hope found in a bush hospital clinging to the edge of one of the world's last frontiers, Papua New Guinea. On the brink of civilization, follow the incredible story of the Calvert family from New Zealand, making one of the last frontiers their home and legacy. The story is told by author and missionary, Erin Foley, a graduate of Hillsdale College in Michigan who calls Boise, Idaho her home when not traveling the globe. In 2011, she left the corporate world and "American Dream" to pursue the best-life-ever as a missionary in Australia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Spain, and France before settling in Cambodia.

While she carries a US Passport, Erin Foley considers herself an international nomad, lover of all people and places. Studying journalism and photography at Hillsdale College in Michigan, USA, she graduated with a BA in Art in 2005. In 2011, she left the "American Dream" to pursue the best-life ever as a full-time volunteer in Australia with shorter-term stints to Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Spain and France. She is a stubborn middle-child who is slightly addicted to coffee, really wants a pet wombat, and wishes life was a musical.
