In our case, my wife and I consider it to be our good fortune to have the opportunity to care for my mother. Further, we are lucky that my mother, till very recently, is able to move about and in full control of her faculties. In most other cases, problems may be many more and difficult. Perhaps, others may be able to benefit somewhat from our experience. When you are helpless, our parents care for us. When they require help they must be fully cared for, not only as a duty, but with full affection and vibe which includes spontaneousness without hesitation. We have many friends, relatives and children to look to; they have only you to look to.

Lt. Col. Kulbir Singh Khurana (Retd.) was born in Montgomery, India on 30th November, 1935. He graduated from the Prince of Wales RIMC Military College in Dehradun, India, and served in the Indian Army for over 27 years with the Gorkhas in 6/8 Gorkha Rifles. This book is a tribute to his altruist nature and exemplifies the manner by which he has lived his life. He currently resides in Noida, India and in California, USA.
