Georgina Olivas was born and raised in the small city of Ocotal, Nicaragua. Being the only girl with three brothers gave her time to be a dreamer. She moved to the United States at the age of twenty-two. Family has always been very important to Georgina. Even though she is half a world away from her family, her father, Miguel, is still her hero and her mother will always be her best friend. Georgina currently lives in southern California with her husband and three children. She enjoys living, loving, laughing, and traveling with her family. She is so thankful to God for giving her three wonderful children who have been the inspiration for writing children's stories. Georgina decided to publish a bilingual book because she feels it is so important for children to remember their heritage and native language.
