Khunires: Fables of Teerika the Gjinn (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798289533371)

A boy found in a boat of the dead. A red leopard cub his only companion. A past erased.

For fifteen years, Haluk the foundling has known only the simple life of Dezbon, his origins a mystery guarded by his stoic mentor, the warrior Khorad. Raised as a commoner in a quiet hamlet, he is content with his humble place in the world. But a brutal contest of champions-a tradition meant to forge unity-instead ignites a fire of ambition and betrayal that will consume the realms.

When a violent clash with a spoiled prince makes him a target, Haluk is thrust into a maelstrom of royal intrigue and dark magic. Hunted by the ruthless assassins of the Azarbad king and the shadowy Yatukan sorcerers, he is forced to flee the only home he's ever known. His desperate flight leads him into a reluctant alliance with Teerika, a powerful, shapeshifting Djinn prince bound by an ancient prophecy, and Arnawaz, a fiercely independent fairy-kin princess caught between duty and a brewing rebellion.

As the fragile Pact of Four Kings teeters on the brink of collapse, Haluk must unravel the secrets of his past, discovering a name he never knew and a legacy that marks him as both a savior and a target. His journey will take him from the haunted ruins of Marlik to the treacherous courts of Rudkhan, forcing him to confront not only his enemies, but the very nature of justice, sacrifice, and destiny. Every choice can lead to ruin. How does one choose between vengeance and justice? Between love and duty?

From the quiet reeds of Dezbon to the blazing battlements of Raga, Khunires is a sweeping epic of lost heritage, clashing loyalties, and the terrible price of justice. It is a story where one boy's forgotten past becomes the key to a world's future, and a whisper from the true heart of Iran is given a voice that will echo through the ages.
