So you decided to do something to help kids eat healthy and be more active in your community. You will play the pivotal role in getting this started at your local school or other organization. This mentor led fitness program begins with you. Read through this guidebook, apply the information supplied here and you are on your way to make your own right turn. The inaugural program began in the spring of 2016 at Sutter Creek Elementary School in Sutter Creek, California. The 10 week program met after school twice a week for two hours. 28 Local volunteers helped make this happen including high school students, local Kiwanis Club members, parents and others from the community. The results will be the lasting effect on all those involved, from the kids to the volunteers.

Thomas Moraitis is the Founder of Kiwanis Righturn.Club and resides in Sutter Creek, California near Sacramento in the foothills of the Sierra's. He is the father of Timothy and Terah who witnessed Thomas transform from 234 lbs to 164 lbs. He has kept the weight off for over 10 years using the principles outlined in this training manual. He received a BA and MA at California Start University, Fullerton. His career began as a teacher in Anaheim, California. His work continued with children after teaching, with the design of Jacques Cousteau's Dolphin Log, a magazine for elementary age kids. Previously to working full time on Righturn.Club he led his own Design Firm, TM Design Group in Orange County, California. He then was Creative Director of Citrix Online, Apartments.com and MyPoints.com He was a member of Kiwanis Key Club at Highland Park High School in Detroit, Michigan in 1967 and Savanna High School, in Anaheim, California to 1969. Fifty years later he uncovered a 50 year Kiwanis Medal and noticed it has now been 100 years. He joined Kiwanis Club of Amador County in 2015 and now serves as 2016 President.
