Crystal James, Kris Jus Me, is my new poet name. (1978 - ) was born in Washington, DC with a slight case of cerebral palsy to New York city parents with ancestry rooted in the Caribbean. I always loved to write poetry, short stories, and other forms of writing since I was little. I love to dance and I also sing too. Later in my life I developed a polyp in my eye that can cause me to go blind. I am a mom, a poet and a writer. I have three books out named Enlightenment on Kindle and paperback versions . This is my new poetry book with a new title thought I should change it up a bit. I always believed that God and believing in myself could help me achieve my dream. As well as, the schools that I attended, my friends, and other amazing poets and some family members that helped me strive to achieve my dream along the way. I am also trying to help other aspiring author's and other artist's with my meetup group. I am also taking classes to learn more about starting a business so i can start a company in the DMV area. I also perform my poems in the DMV area and I will perform my poems in other states as well.
