Laguna B!tch: How I Popped The Bubble And Faced My Own Reality (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798234135483)

From Southern California to the shores of Lake Erie, Francesca Tioleco invites readers on her journey from a childhood marked by unexpected loss to hope and healing.

The first American-born child of Filipino immigrants, Francesca is aware of being different from others early in life. She is one of the few Asians in her school, finding solace at the shore, or as her beloved grandmother calls it, "Laguna B!tch."

Despite setbacks early in life, Francesca is drawn to the world of media, determined to make a career in an ultra-competitive field. Traveling to New York City for college, she pursues her dream of working in network television. There are challenges along the way, both in her career and her struggle to find inner stability.

Never one to give up, Francesca earns her master's degree, plunges into the world of New York advertising agencies and meets her soulmate while shopping for an iPad. As she prepares for her twentieth high school reunion, Francesca reflects on a life filled with beaches, boybands and the Buffalo Bills.
