Landfall - Volume 1 -Survival (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781941415917)

As the war between the Federation of Planets (which includes Earth) and the Imperium escalates, a rundown cruiser scheduled for a retrofit is ordered to make one last trip, ferrying 2,500 Earth settlers and their farm animals to a newly discovered Sol Empire world.

An accident causes the cruiser to lose its engines and it crashes on an unknown habitable world. With no way to contact anyone, the settlers must find a way to survive on this new world.

Divided into five fractions, each wishing to live independent of the other groups decide to split up. Dual suns and harsh winters threaten barest survival. How to make the best use of the remaining ship's structure becomes vital.

One group wishes to dominate the others, but this new world's climate becomes a barrier. This is the story of how they began new lives on a strange, uninhabited world.
