Laughing Through Life's Storms: Faith, Resilience, and God's Humor in Life's Hard Times (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781972896020)

Faith and laughter aren't supposed to go together-except they did for Dr. Michael Eaton.

When Sister Kimberly Eaton didn't appreciate her husband's playful joke about her during a sermon, a major television network unexpectedly invited them both to settle the dispute on air-with humor. What began as a lighthearted moment opened a deeper question: Does God use laughter as a spiritual weapon?

In Laughing Through the Storm, readers will discover how God uses humor to heal our storms, lift our souls, and draw us closer to Himself.

In seasons of struggle, pain, and uncertainty, joy can feel far away. Yet Scripture reveals a God who meets His people in the middle of life's storms with an unexpected and holy gift: laughter. Proverbs 17:22 tells us that "a merry heart does good like medicine." But does God Himself use humor? And if so, how can believers harness divine joy in their darkest moments?

Dr. Michael Eaton-Senior Pastor of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church for nearly 19 years-has over 30 years of ministry experience.

He is also the cofounder, along with his wife Dr. Kimberly Eaton, of A Word From the Lord, Inc. Pastor Eaton has a unique ability to use humor to minister in places of deep pain-whether preaching in the pulpit, appearing in television studios, or comforting people in hospital rooms. A gifted teacher, dynamic speaker, and compassionate shepherd, he brings joy into spaces where hope seems lost.

Dr. Eaton and his wife Kimberly have been married since 2006, faithfully serve the church together, and-quite literally-make each other laugh.
