He has worked closely with re-entry court programs, serving as a liaison between ex-offenders and re-entry court. Romel has taught in prisons and juvenile facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, and Florida. He has mentored with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club of America.
