Laurie L. Ferris served on the ship M.V. Doulos, a ministry of Operation Mobilization, traveling port to port distributing literary, medical and educational books. Directly following her service on the M.V. Doulos, Laurie answered the call to go to the Republic of South Africa with CASA Ministries. South Africa has always been her passion, and she was blessed to serve there as Director of Children's Ministry for four years. Upon returning to the United States, Laurie continued serving in the church as a children's pastor and minister of the Gospel. Laurie currently writes devotional material drawing from both her mission's experiences and everyday life lessons. Many of those lessons have come through a recent cancer journey. When asked about that battle she remarks, "This is just another trial I have seen my Jesus bring me through." Her desire is to see Christians become intimate with their Savior.
