After an electrical engineering apprenticeship in the Royal Navy, Peter went on to serve on a number of ships in different parts of the world before leaving in 1969. He then worked as a quality engineer for the British Aircraft Corporation on Spacecraft and guided weapon systems before moving to R. A Lister (Diesels) where he became a technical author in 1984. He then worked as a contractor, mostly in the nuclear industry before finally retiring in 2011. Peter gained membership of the Society of Authors in 1993 For over 20 years, Peter was a Methodist Local Preacher before becoming an official prison visitor and worshipping with his wife at the prison he visits in order to focus on supporting prisoners who wanted to change their lives around. It was a Jew named Derek Peter met as a prison visitor, and who he was able to help when he left prison, who first asked Peter to write on scripture. Since then Derek's brother Aaron came under the influence of Peter's writing and became a Jewish Christian asking Peter to write on the book of Revelation and then on the subject of Moses' Tent of the Meeting, which was self published early 2011.
