Bill Sands lives on the North Olympic Peninsula of Washington State far removed from his birthplace and childhood in Massachusetts. He spent a period of his early adulthood living in Tennessee before moving to Montana. He is a veteran of both the U.S. Navy and the Army National Guard, logging a combined total of over seventeen years in the two services.
