Because his mother's womb did not have electricity, Craig Wetzel's first glimpse of light was at the East Liverpool City Hospital in 1964. Over half a century later, he still lives in East Liverpool, which denotes either uncommon stability or a singular lack of ambition. As a toddler, his head was so large that he spent most of his days trying to avoid tipping over and drowning in a bowl of Spaghetti-Os. After years of attempted head shrinking, his body caught up, and for several years, Wetzel enjoyed pleasing proportions. Now he is attempting to shrink his body. He has one wife and three children who sometimes read his newspaper columns out of a sense of duty, often finishing them. When he is not reading, he writes; when he is too pooped to write, he fishes; when he stops fishing, he retires to bed and reads. Wetzel hopes to win a Nobel Prize one day and will use the proceeds to catch up on medical bills.
