Life, Observed. Flora and Fauna of Fayette County (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798218928230)

Life, Observed. Flora & Fauna of Fayette County, PA is an adult coloring book inspired entirely by original photography taken throughout the parks, trails, and natural landscapes of Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Each spread pairs a real photograph with a carefully hand-converted coloring page, inviting readers to slow down, observe closely, and engage creatively with the natural world around them. Rather than functioning as a field guide, this book serves as a visual record of noticing, encouraging curiosity, mindfulness, and a deeper connection to place.

Featuring native plants, animals, insects, birds, and fungi commonly encountered in the region, Life, Observed offers a thoughtful way to experience local biodiversity through art and observation. The combination of photography and coloring provides a reflective, screen-free activity suited for adults, nature enthusiasts, educators, and visitors alike.

Created by a lifelong Fayette County photographer and artist, this book celebrates the quiet details of the landscape and the value of paying attention to the living things that share our environment. Life, Observed is ideal for park bookstores, gift shops, and anyone seeking a creative way to engage with nature and regional ecology.
