Originally from San Diego, René Ashton began her acting career when she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20. Rene' has since done over 70 commercials including: JEEP, TGI FRIDAY'S, ROSS DEPT. STORE, CHARLES SCHWAB, CHEF BOYARDEE, HONDA, BURGER KING, CHEVY LUMINA, PEPSI, MCDONALDS, DISNEYLAND, RED LOBSTER, ENERGIZER, TACO BELL, ASSURANT HEALTH INSURANCE, ECONO LODGE, BUD LIGHT, CABLE ONE, PACIFIC CARE INSURANCE, GALLO WINE, VONS, HALLMARK, HOME DEPOT, SHERWIN WILLIAMS, KEY BANK, HUMANA ONE, SPRITE, LOWE'S, WELLBUTRIN, MIRACLE GRO, TOYOTA, SBC GLOBAL, SEARS, GENERAL MOTORS, DHL DELIVERY SERVICE, WOOLITE PODS, FRONTLINE FLEA AND TICK CONTROL, REMBRANDT, CABLE ONE... René has been teaching on-camera commercial intensives for over 5 years in Los Angeles. She has also appeared in numerous television shows including: NIP/TUCK, PRIVATE PRACTICE, CSI, LAS VEGAS, DEXTER, BIG LOVE, 7th HEAVEN, SIX FEET UNDER, JOAN OF ARCADIA, THE GUARDIAN, SPIN CITY, MELROSE PLACE, STRONG MEDICINE, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, PROVIDENCE and SEINFELD. Not only is René a working actor, she is an avid writer. Her first script, BE MY BABY (starring herself and Lacey Chabert) is available on-line and in video stores. Her second script, BOY'S NAME, will be shot in 2010 and produced by Larry Meistrich (executive producer of SLING BLADE). René will also star in this project.
