Vivian grew up on a farm similar to the one she describes in Lingering Soul Of The House. The paranormal events in the story are happenings that were reportedly true of her grandmother's house. The family home is still occupied by relatives in eastern Kentucky and she remains fearful of being alone in the house even after all these years.
