I wondered, "how does anyone lose or abandon a shoe like this in the middle of this busy intersection?" Little Blude Shoe became a creation by imagining where and why a little girl might lose a shoe. As Luna looks for her lost little blue shoe the story itself teaches children to be cautious when recovering lost items such as having to cross that dangerous highway to recover her lost shoe; as her mom says, always look both ways when crossing the street!
