Living at the Edge of the World - Summer (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9791098502316)

When twelve-year-old Tabitha returns to the remote Shetland island of Papala for the summer, she's looking forward to fun adventures with her twin brother and friends.

Instead, she discovers what looks like a selkie's skin drifting in the harbour - and island superstition warns that unless the seal's skin is returned before midnight, generations of bad luck will follow.

But Papala is already in trouble. Pollution creeps along the coastline, and the island's owner plans to sell the land, threatening the bird sanctuary. With her brother uncovering evidence, Tabitha is determined to act - but the owner's son stands in her way. As the sea chokes with plastic and time runs out, Tabitha becomes convinced finding a selkie's skin is no coincidence. Can she find the courage to speak up - and persuade the islanders to protect their home?
